Outcomes:
Students will follow the guidelines given by the Michigan Department of Education to develop an understanding of important concepts, skills, and procedures in Earth Science. See the Michigan Department of Education website for detailed description.http://www.michigan.gov/mde
Textbook: Earth Science – Glencoe; Publ. McGraw-Hill
Recommended Supply List:
· Pencils and Pens
· Notebook
· Lined paper
Grade Structure:
60% Assessment (Tests and quizzes)
30% Class work
10% Homework
Tests and quizzes may be retaken on the student’s own time- I am available every Wednesday for after school test make-ups and retakes.
Late Work:
If the assignment is turned in late, it will only receive ½ credit
Assignments will only be accepted until the end of the unit.
Weebly:
All assignments will be posted on our class’s Weebly website. It is the student’s responsibility to check the website for assignments after any absences.
Passes:
Students MUST use their agenda for passes
No student will be given passes from the classroom the first and last five minutes of class
